🥊 Your First Day at the Gym

Welcome to the team!

We focus on authentic technique and a supportive atmosphere for your Muay Thai training. To help you get started, here is a guide for your first day on the mats, including what to wear at the gym and essential equipment for Muay Thai, along with some important gym etiquette tips.

👕 What to Wear

When preparing for Muay Thai training, it’s essential to choose the right athletic gear. Opt for breathable workout clothes such as T-shirts and athletic shorts or leggings. In terms of gym etiquette, be mindful to avoid outfits with zippers, buttons, or pockets, as these can potentially catch on fingers or toes during practice. Remember, training is done barefoot, so please leave your shoes in the designated areas to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

💧 Amenities & Tips

Water Provided: We supply water at the gym to keep you hydrated during your Muay Thai training sessions.

Arrive Early: Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign your waiver, meet the coaches, and get geared up with the right equipment for Muay Thai.

Ask Questions: We are a technical gym, so if you’re unsure about a movement, gym etiquette, or what to wear at the gym, just ask!

📋 What to Expect

Warm-Up: Engage in functional movements to elevate your heart rate, using the right equipment for Muay Thai to enhance your performance.

Fundamentals: Focus on stance, balance, and mastering the 'Art of Eight Limbs,' which is crucial for effective Muay Thai training.

Technical Drills: Apply what you’ve learned while working on pads or with a partner, paying attention to proper gym etiquette to ensure a positive training environment.

Ego-Free Zone: We train hard but always look out for one another. Remember, you’re here to learn, and we’re here to help. As for what to wear at the gym, ensure you choose comfortable attire that allows for freedom of movement.

See you on the mats!

🧼 Gym Etiquette & Hygiene

Because Muay Thai is a close-contact sport, we hold all students to a high standard of cleanliness to ensure the health and safety of the team during their Muay Thai training.

Clean Bodies: Please arrive showered and clean for every class, as part of good gym etiquette.

Fresh Gear: Ensure your training clothes are freshly laundered. Never wear 'day-old' or unwashed gym clothes to a session; appropriate equipment for Muay Thai is essential for a good experience.

Nail Care: Keep fingernails and toenails trimmed short to prevent scratching your training partners.

Skin Health: If you have any skin infections, cuts, or abrasions, please have them covered or consult a coach before stepping on the mat and remember to consider what to wear at the gym to maintain hygiene.

🛡️ Equipment & Gear

Borrowing Gear: We provide sanitized loaner gloves and shin guards for your first class, ensuring you're well-prepared for Muay Thai training.

Pro-Shop (For Sale): When you're ready to invest in your own equipment for Muay Thai, we stock professional-grade gear on-site:

Hand Wraps: Your first priority for hand/wrist safety, essential for what to wear at the gym.

Boxing Gloves: Properly fitted to match your size and weight, crucial for effective training.

Muay Thai or MMA Shorts: Designed for the mobility needed for kicks and knees, allowing you to move freely.

Shin Guards: Important for partner drills and technical work, aligning with gym etiquette for safety during practice.
