Our instructional staff proudly represents authentic Muay Thai lineage under Master Saohin Srisuk, as well as a legitimate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu pedigree under Coral Belt Marcelo Alonso, covering both Gi and No-Gi mastery. With active international MMA coaching experience, we approach martial arts coaching as dedicated educators. We provide structured, step-by-step Muay Thai, BJJ, and MMA training for beginners while also offering a proven path for athletes targeting competition at regional, national, and international levels.

Coach Kurt

Head Muay Thai Coach

Coach Kurt Fichtner brings over 25 years of coaching experience and a lifetime of competitive striking to Srisuk Muay Thai Pensacola. Certified as a Muay Thai Master Trainer (Kru) under 6-time World Champion Master Saohin Srisuk, Coach Kurt dedicated a decade to direct 1-on-1 training under Master Saohin to preserve and pass on authentic Muay Thai striking mechanics, fight strategy, and clinching techniques.

In addition to his Muay Thai lineage, Kurt holds 3rd-degree Black Belts in American Freestyle Karate and Tae-Kwon-Do under 4-time Battle of Atlanta Champion Bill Rowling, as well as a 4-stripe BJJ blue belt under Professor Marcelo Alonso. Coach Kurt has been training since 1989, competing at the amateur and professional level across karate, kickboxing, and full-contact striking since 1993—including a 3rd-place finish at the 2001 Coca-Cola USA Nationals.

An experienced martial arts coaching professional, Coach Kurt has been a mentor since 1997, having cornered and trained fighters in over 200 professional and amateur bouts across Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA.

A professional educator holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's in English Language Arts, Kurt structures his Muay Thai training classes to ensure technical clarity, safety, and continuous growth for fighters and hobbyists alike.

Coach Nayanna

Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, & MMA Coach

Coach Nayanna Fichtner is an active competitor and multi-discipline coach with a lifetime of hands-on martial arts experience. Training since early childhood and competing in striking and grappling since age 8, Nayanna brings high-level technical detail and real-world fight experience to her authentic Muay Thai, BJJ, and MMA classes.

Nayanna holds a BJJ Purple Belt directly under Coral Belt Marcelo Alonso, as well as a 1st-degree Black Belt in American Freestyle Karate under Coach Kurt. Her extensive background spans Muay Thai training, kickboxing, freestyle wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with years of multi-state competition across various rule sets.

In addition to her role on the mat—where she excels at martial arts coaching for adults, youth, and women's programs—Nayanna serves her community off the mat as a dedicated Deputy with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Coach Emily

Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & MMA Coach

Coach Emily Fichtner is a veteran Mixed Martial Artist, professional boxer, and highly decorated grappling specialist. A BJJ Brown Belt under 7th-degree Carlson Gracie Coral Belt Marcelo Alonso, Emily has competed and excelled in top-tier IBJJF Gi and No-Gi divisions, absolute co-ed grappling matches, and professional MMA bouts.

As an officially certified IMMAF Team USA Coach, Emily operates at the highest levels of international amateur MMA, cornering and coaching athletes on national and international stages. Her extensive background includes over a decade of Muay Thai training, emphasizing authentic Muay Thai techniques, a 1-degree Black Belt in American Freestyle Karate, and years of martial arts coaching experience—including owning and operating Tacoma Fight Shop.

A U.S. Army veteran (Active & Reserve) and co-owner of Srisuk Muay Thai Pensacola, Coach Emily brings battle-tested discipline, deep tactical grappling knowledge, and structured MMA coaching to students of all levels, ensuring they receive quality Muay Thai training tailored to their individual needs.

Coach Mya

Muay Thai & MMA Coach

Coach Mya Fichtner is an elite multi-weight division champion, international gold medalist, and active fighter representing Team USA. Having trained in martial arts since childhood, Mya brings real-world championship pedigree and well-rounded grappling and striking credentials to her authentic Muay Thai training and MMA classes, utilizing cutting-edge techniques.

Mya is a 1st-degree Black Belt in Karate and holds a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt under 7th-degree Coral Belt Marcelo Alonso. On the competition stage, she is the 2026 IMMAF Pan-American 125 lb Flyweight Champion, proudly bringing international gold home for Team USA. Her impressive title resume spans both striking and mixed martial arts, highlighted by the Vigilant MMA Strawweight title, CFC Strawweight MMA title, and the Flex Fight Series Kickboxing title.

As a coach at Srisuk Muay Thai Pensacola, Mya emphasizes martial arts coaching through dynamic striking mechanics, fight-tested MMA transitions, and the development of the next generation of martial artists with high energy, technical precision, and championship standards.
